What is Roblox?

Roblox is an online game. You can’t exactly call it a game, because games usually only have one plot, and one aim of the game, but Roblox has many games you can play in. For example, there’s Adopt Me. The main point of Adopt me is to get as many legendary pets, and then you can trade it for something else. And then there’s Flicker. Flicker is like the typical mafia game, just with more roles. Then there are dress up games, obbies, tycoons, and many more.

And as I mentioned in the beginning, this is an online game, which means you can play with other people, and also your friends. I usually play Flicker with my friend. And while playing, I usually call them so I know where they’re at in the game, for example. So yea, that’s what Roblox is.

How Popular is Roblox?

Roblox is pretty famous. You may think that the games that I mentioned before, most of the people playing Roblox are women. But actually, only about 40% of the people playing Roblox are female. Most people playing Roblox are kids who are about 10 to 12 years old. And based on my research, there are at least 1.5M children playing this game, and that’s only in the UK. And like I mentioned earlier, 24% of the children playing are 10 to 12 years old. This beats the record of TikTok and Snapchat. Yep, you heard that right, TikTok.

There are a ton of Roblox YouTubers. They are all over YouTube. That could be one of the reasons why they’re so popular. Here are some Roblox YouTubers I recommend watching: Leah Ashe, Flamingo, Denis, Cybernova Gaming, and many more. The Roblox community has also joined other social media such as TikTok and Instagram. So now I think you can imagine how popular Roblox is.

How Does Roblox Work?

Well, I think I kinda made it clear in the first paragraph but here’s a more detailed version. In Roblox, you have multiple games you can choose. There are games like Adopt Me, Royale High, Arsenal, Flicker, and many more. How does it work? Well, first, you can change your avatar. But keep in mind, most of the items cost robux (Roblox money) and you need real money to get robux. But don’t worry, there are a few items that are free too. Then you can join any game. In each game, they have different types of money. For example in Royale High, you get diamonds, and in Adopt me, you get Adopt Me bucks. But you can buy more money with robux, that’s the use of robux. And in most games, you can change your avatar IN the game without robux. Also, don’t fall for scams. Like, don’t do trust trades and fail trades. Those are usually scams. Trust no one but your friend in real life. So yea 🙂

Making a Roblox Game

I have never considered making a game in Roblox, so I don’t really know the requirements so this is as far as I know. Well to make a proper game, and publish it properly as well, I recommend buying a builders club. I’m not sure, but some people say that you can make a game without a builders club. Then you start designing your game in Roblox Studio.

I’ll just type some stuff, but I won’t show you how to make a game specifically. There are some videos on YouTube to show you how to make a game properly. I’ve never been interested in making a game so I don’t know how to. And developers usually get over $2M a year by adding in-game passes and purchases. So that’s also on how to make money on roblox. 😀
